WHAT'S THE SCORE? : Conference - Friday 7th March 2008
A CONFERENCE ON THE NURTURE, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF NEW MUSICAL THEATRE IN BRITAIN EXPLORING THE EXPERIENCES OF OUR US COLLEAGUES AND HOW THE UK CAN ESCALATE PROJECTS.
INFORMATION
We have 150 members at present, grown by word of mouth over the last two years. Now we wish to make sure a wider gathering of theatre professionals and aspiring/emerging creatives consider the value of joining MTM:UK.
What’s The Score ? will welcome MTM:UK members, but it will also be open to members of TMA, ITC, SOLT, FST, NAMT and other trade bodies representing professional practitioners in all areas of creative Musical Theatre. We are also inviting a number of US guests to share in the discussion, and bring their experiences of 15-20 years of consistent new work development.
We completely accept that delegates may not be able to stay the full day. We ask, ideally, for everyone to set aside the morning, and for those interested in looking to the future to have at least one member of their organisation available to continue the discussion in the afternoon.
We are most grateful to Arts Council England for supporting this conference and the early work of MTM:UK as it grows to an essential network for the future of Musical Theatre.
Please complete the form opposite and return it by email, or post to Chris Grady, together with a cheque or confirmation of bank transfer to Musical Theatre Matters. If making a transfer PLEASE email Chris to confirm the date transferred so that a tally of payments can be made easily.
Specific details on venues and meetings will be sent to delegates. There is likely to be a short walk from Joe Allen’s in the morning to the lunch venue and afternoon gathering site. Transport will not be provided. Every effort wll be made to ensure access, but we cannot guarantee it at all venues. If you or your colleagues have any specific requirement, please tell us how we can help.
